UpOrbit does not collect, store, or transmit your personal data. Your data stays on your device.
The UpOrbit web app and Chrome extension store all your personal data (tasks, routines, notes, settings) locally on your device. We never see, access, or transmit your personal data.
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) on the UpOrbit website (uporbit.app) to understand aggregate traffic patterns such as page views, referral sources, and general geographic region. GA4 may use cookies. This data helps us understand which content is useful and improve the site. No personal task data, notes, or app usage is included in analytics.
The Chrome extension does not include any analytics or tracking.
The UpOrbit web app runs entirely in your browser. All data — including tasks, routines, brain dump notes, and settings — is stored in your browser's local storage. No account is required. No data is sent to any server.
The UpOrbit Chrome New Tab extension uses the chrome.storage.local API to store your data locally on your device. Specifically:
This data never leaves your device. We do not have access to it. We cannot read, retrieve, or recover your data. If you uninstall the extension, your data is permanently deleted.

The UpOrbit website uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) for aggregate traffic analysis. We do not use any advertising services, tracking pixels, or other third-party analytics beyond GA4. The Chrome extension contains no third-party services of any kind.
The UpOrbit blog and product recommendations page contain affiliate links (Amazon Associates). These links do not track you within UpOrbit. When you click an affiliate link, Amazon's standard privacy policy applies on their site. We have no access to your Amazon purchase data.
UpOrbit does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under 13. Since we collect no data at all, there is no children's data to protect. The extension and web app are general audience tools.
